Vote <br /> unanimous. <br /> Hammett made motion that resolution honoring the life and <br /> memory of Charles Albert Cannon be adopted and made a part of <br /> the minutes and that copies of said resolution be sent to <br /> the members of the family as designated. Gallimore seconded. <br /> Vote unanimous./This resolution is on Page ~ ~ % of the minute <br /> <br /> book. , <br /> <br /> McNeal Petrea and George Richmond appeared before the <br /> <br /> Board on behalf of the Department of Social Services in regard <br /> to wage increases of newly'hired employees. Mention was also <br /> made Of getting office hours of all County departments in line <br /> or concurrent, and a standard travel allowance be adopted in <br /> the future. <br /> <br /> A motion was made by Hammett to adjust the salaries of <br /> <br /> employees of the Department of Social Services, employed <br /> during the current fiscal year, to one step below the State <br /> standard pay plan, retroactive to January 1, 1971, in order <br /> to comply with provisions of the State Personnel Act. This <br /> Act requires that all employees of a unit subject to the <br /> Act be on the same pay plan.
