RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WI-IEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County <br /> <br />on the 7th day of February, 1955, adopted a resolution for the establishment <br />of fire districts in Cabarrus County; <br /> <br /> AND WtIEREAS, from time to time there have been certain <br />changes in the provisions of said resolution and it is desired to bring said <br />changes forward in one resolution, and to make said resolution conform to <br />custom and practice; <br /> <br /> NOW, TH]EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: <br /> <br /> A. The Cabarrus County Fire District Commission be composed <br />of four members, instead of three members, said members to be as <br />follows: One member appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to <br />be known as Fire Commissioner, the President of the Cabarrus County <br />Volunteer Fireman's Association or an active volunteer fireman, the Presi- <br />dent of the Cabarrus County Fire Chief's Association, and the Fire Chief of <br />the City of Concord. <br /> <br /> B. Section 3 of said resolutic{n is amended to provide that the <br />monthly fee payable to each qualifying fire department shall be Two Hundred <br />Dollars ($200.00) as has heretofore been budgeted. <br /> <br /> C. The second sentence of subsection Q under Section 3 is <br /> amended to read as follows: Any difference off, pinion shall be decided by <br /> the Directors of the Cabarrus County Fireman's .Association, with a final <br /> appeal to the Cabarrus County Fire District's Commission. <br /> <br /> D. Subsection V under Section 3 is amended by deleting said <br /> section in its entirety and adding the following: Each department shall have <br /> the minimum equipment required by the North Carolina Fire Insurance <br /> Rating Bureau. <br /> <br /> E. Subsection E of Section 3 is amended by increasing <br /> the number of active members required for each department from <br /> ten (10) to eighteen (18). <br /> <br /> <br />
