A public hearing was held on July 23, 1971, at 9:00 a.m., on the <br /> <br />ordinance providing for the prosecution of persons failing to pay for <br />ambulance service. This resolution was adopted at the July 12, 1971 Board <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman - S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners - Robert A. McClary <br /> Charles Gallimore <br /> C. Frank James~ <br /> <br />No person appeared to speak for or against the proposed ordinance. <br />John Howard, representing the Concord Jaycees, presented and read <br />a resolution, which is recorded on Page ~% and becomes a part of these <br />minutes. <br /> <br /> Chairman Hawfield said the budget will be adopted at the regular <br /> <br />Board meeting August 2, 1971. <br /> <br /> McClary made motion, seconded by Gallimore, to set the tax rate <br /> <br />in accordance with the rate previously set, at $1.23 per $100.00. Two votes <br /> <br />for, one vote against (James). <br /> <br /> George Griffin, Architect appeared and presented preliminary plans <br /> <br />and cost estimates for a new courthouse. No action was taken. <br /> <br /> McClary made motion, seconded by Gallimore, and unanimously carried, <br /> <br />to adjourn. <br /> <br /> Board <br /> <br /> <br />
