CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> STATEMENT OF DEBT FOR OTHER THAN SCHOOL PURPOSES <br /> <br /> I, Fred T. Riley, County Accountant of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, <br />do make and file the following statement of the financial condition of said <br />CoUnty, having been designated by the Board of Commissioners for that purpose. <br />Said statement includes a statement of debt incurred and to be incurred for <br />other than school purposes under orders either introduced or passed, whether <br />evidenced by bonds, notes or otherwise, and whether incurred by original <br />creation of the debt or by assumption of the debt, including debt to the state <br />or any department thereof, but not including obligations incurred to meet <br />appropriations in anticipation of revenues to an amounty not exceeding the <br />amount of the last preceding tax levy for other than school purposes, or <br />including debt incurred in anticipation of the sale of any kind of bonds: <br /> <br />(a) The assessed valuation of property <br /> as last fixed for county taxation ............... $311,500,000 <br /> <br /> (b) Outstanding debt for other than <br /> school purposes .......... $105,000 <br /> <br />(c) Bonded debt to be incurred for <br /> other than school purposes under <br /> orders either passed or intro- <br /> duced: County Courthouse Bonds . $1,500,000 <br /> <br />(d) The sum of items (b) and (c) .................. $ 1,605,000 <br /> <br /> (e) Sinking funds (except school <br /> sinking funds), being money or <br /> investments thereof pledged <br /> and held for the payment of <br /> principal of debt outstanding <br /> for other than school purposes. None <br /> <br /> (f) Moneys payable to the County <br /> by a railroad or interurban <br /> railway company, under con- <br /> tract, as all or part of the <br /> cost of grade crossing elimi- <br /> nation, if such moneys are <br /> pledged to and when collected <br /> will be used in the retirement <br /> of outstanding debt for other <br /> than school purposes ........
