Mecklenburg County Line; thence in a Northwesterly direction along Cabarrus-Mecklenburg <br /> County line to a point 0.1 mile South of Harris Road (#1449); thence in an Easterly <br /> direction to a point on Cox Mill Road (#1448) 0.8 miles South of the intersection of <br /> Poplar Tent Road (#1394) and Cox Mill Road (#1448); thence in a Northeasterly direction <br /> to the intersection of Poplar Tent Road (#1394) and Derita Road (#1445); thence in a <br /> Northeasterly direction to a point on Coddle Creek where Duke Power line crosses. <br /> <br /> This point being further identified as 0.3 miles Northwest of intersection of 1-85 and <br /> <br /> Coddle Creek; thence in a Southeasterly direction to the intersection of Goodman <br /> <br /> Road (#1441) and Poplar Tent Road (#1394); thence in a Southeasterly direction along an <br /> imaginary line to a point continuing 0.7 miles Southeast of Weddington Road (#2431) and <br /> Arbor Acres Road; thence to a point 0.6 miles South-Southeasterly past the intersection <br /> of Highway 29 and Roberta Church Road (#1310); thence 1000 feet Southwesterly to the <br /> BEGINNING point. <br /> <br /> The proposition hereinabove set forth contains a statement of the purpose for which the <br /> <br />election is called and tax shall be imposed. <br /> <br /> If said proposition passes by a majority of the qualified voters in the Pitts Fire <br /> <br />Protection District, a tax will be levied upon all taxable property within said Pitts Fire Pro- <br />tection District sufficient to pay for the purpose of providing fire protection in said district. <br />A new registration of voters has been ordered and no one will be permitted to vote unless <br />registered anew. The books for such registration will be kept open from 9:00 A.M. until 6:00 <br />P.M. on each day beginning Saturday, March 18, 1972, and ending Saturday, April 1,1972. On each <br />Saturday during such registration, said books will be kept open at the polling place. Saturday, <br />April 8, 1972, is challenge day. The polling place for this election of the Pitts Protection <br />District and the 'names of the election officers, subject to change as provided by law, are as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> POLLING PLACE REGISTRARS JUDGES <br /> <br /> Cochran's Gin Office Mrs. Jean L. Bost Eddie Cline <br /> intersection of Highway 29 <br /> Pitt School Road Charles Fowler <br /> <br />The boundaries of said fire protection district are as Set out above and all eligible voters are <br />those who are eligible by law to vote in any election and who are residents of the area known as <br />the Pitts Fire Protection District as set out above. <br /> <br /> Dated this 7th day of February, 1972. <br /> <br /> (Joyce Misenheimer) <br /> Clerk of Board of Commissioners of <br /> Cabarrus County <br /> <br /> Section V.
