LEAD AGENCY DESIGNATION <br /> <br /> of Centratina <br /> Council of Governments <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Governor of North Carolina has declared that one legally constituted <br />organization created by general purpoee local governments will be designated <br />as the LEAD regional organization in each of the seventeen (17) State Planning <br />regions to serve as the region-wide Planning Development and Coordinating <br />Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Centralina Council of Governments was created by the several local <br />governments in State Planning Region "F" to serve as the umbrella agency for <br />purposes of the area wide planning, development and program coordination and <br />to avoid overlapping and duplicative efforts; <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the governing body of the County of Cabarrus <br />hereby reaffirms its support of the Centralina Council of Governments as the <br />area wide Planning, Development and Coordinating Agency and joins with other <br />local governments in State Planning Region "F" in approving its designation <br />as the LEAD regional organization. <br /> <br />I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution of County of Cabarrus was <br />duly adopted by its governing body at its meeting on the 7th day of <br />February, 1972, at which a quorum was present and acted. <br /> <br /> Clerk Mayor or Chairman <br /> Chairman, Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br /> <br />
