* ~ The Board of Conanissioners for the County of Cabarrus~ North Carolina met in regular session at the County Courthouse in Concord~ North Carolina on Hatch 6~ 19?Z.~ at 9:00 a.m. Present - Chairman - S. Glenn Hawfield~ Jr. Commissioners - Robert A. McClary C. Frank James John A. Hammett Absent - Commissioner Charles Gallimore Invocation was by the Rev. Crawford A. ~hite~ Second Presbyterian Church~ Concord.~ North Carolina, Hinutes of the meetings of February 7~ 11 and 16~ 1972 were read and approved, Commissioner Hammett introduced a resolution for the creation of a Jackson Park Sanitary District, The resolution~ recorded on Page 121 of this minute book~ was passed upon motion of Commissioner Hammett~ seconded by Commissioner James~ by the following vote: Ayes: Robert A, McClary C. Frank James John A, Hammett Noes: None Commissioner Hanr~ett made motion that a School Building Bond referendum be held on September 9 and set the amount at the April meeting. No vote was taken for a lack of a second, McClary moved that the Board agree to hold a School ~uilding Bond referendum postponing the date and the amount until the April meeting, This motion was seconded by Commissioner James and passed by the following vote: Ayes: RoI~ez~. McClary C, Frank James Noes: John A. Hammett The date for the Commissioners meeting in April was set for Thursday~ April ~h enmotion by McClary, seconded by James and carried. This resolution is recorded on Page 12& of this minute book, Commissioners received a request from the Cabarrus Resque Squad for six radios and six ~alkie talkies after the new county-wide law enforcement communications system is installed, Similar requests for equipment have been received from Volunteer Firemen, The equipment being replaced by the ne~ system cannot be disposed of in the "Project Year" and no action was taken.
