Glenn Hawfield~ Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners - Robert A. McClary <br /> C. Frank James <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Absent - Commissioner Charles Gallimore <br /> <br /> Invocation was by the Rev. Crawford A. ~hite~ Second Presbyterian Church~ <br /> <br />Concord.~ North Carolina, <br /> <br /> Hinutes of the meetings of February 7~ 11 and 16~ 1972 were read and approved, <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett introduced a resolution for the creation of a Jackson <br /> <br />Park Sanitary District, <br /> <br /> The resolution~ recorded on Page 121 of this minute book~ was passed upon <br /> <br />motion of Commissioner Hammett~ seconded by Commissioner James~ by the following <br /> <br />vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Robert A, McClary <br /> C. Frank James <br /> John A, Hammett <br /> <br /> Noes: None <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hanr~ett made motion that a School Building Bond referendum be <br /> <br />held on September 9 and set the amount at the April meeting. No vote was taken <br /> <br />for a lack of a second, <br /> <br /> McClary moved that the Board agree to hold a School ~uilding Bond referendum <br /> <br />postponing the date and the amount until the April meeting, This motion was <br /> <br />seconded by Commissioner James and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: RoI~ez~. McClary <br /> C, Frank James <br /> <br /> Noes: John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> The date for the Commissioners meeting in April was set for Thursday~ April <br /> <br />~h enmotion by McClary, seconded by James and carried. This resolution is <br /> <br />recorded on Page 12& of this minute book, <br /> <br /> Commissioners received a request from the Cabarrus Resque Squad for six <br /> <br />radios and six ~alkie talkies after the new county-wide law enforcement <br />communications system is installed, Similar requests for equipment have been <br />received from Volunteer Firemen, The equipment being replaced by the ne~ system <br />cannot be disposed of in the "Project Year" and no action was taken. <br /> <br /> <br />
