The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina met in <br /> <br />adjourned session at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina June 8, 1972 <br /> <br />at 4:00 p m. <br /> <br /> Present: Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. NcClary <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Absent: Commissioners: Charles Gallimore C. Frank James <br /> <br /> John Hammett introduced the newly appointed Recreation Director, Rudolph Davis, <br /> <br />to the commissioners. <br /> <br /> NcClary~ade motion to adopt resolutions giving the Chairman of the Board of <br /> <br />County Commissioners the authority to enter into contract with the County of Rowan, <br />the County of Stanlyl the City of Spencer~ the City of East Spencer~ the <br />Salisbury~ the City of China Grove~ the City of Landis and the City of Albemarle; <br />whereby mutual aid and assistance in Law Enforcement may be effected. Ha~mett <br />seconded the motion and the vote carried unanimously. These resolutions are recorded <br />on page 146 and become a part of these minutes. <br /> <br /> Hammett made motio~ seconded by NcClary~ and unanimously carried to adopt <br /> <br />resolution combining the County and Concoed,Clty Building Inspection and Tax Collection <br />Departments. This resolution is recorded on page 147 and becomes a part of these <br />minutes. <br /> <br /> Hammett made motion to adopt the resolution approving participation by the <br /> <br />Local Housing O~ners in the Federal Rent Supplement Program located on Richards <br />Avenue and on Pine and State Streets in Kannapolis. ~cClary seconded the motion <br />and the vote was unanimous.
