BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CONHISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS: Section 1. Subject to approval by the City of Concord, the office of the Cabarrus County Building Inpsector and the Concord Building Inspector are hereby combined. The Chairman of the Board is authorized to enter into a contract and agreement with the City of Concord to combine and merge the Building Inspector's Office of the County and City under the supervision of the present County Building Inspector or such other County Building Inspector as may be employed effective July 1, 1972. Fees charged for the work of said Inspector shall be those hereby adopted by Cabarrus County and the City of Concord as the case may be. Section 2. Subject to the approval of the City of Concord, effective July 1, 1972, the Cabarrus County Tax Collector is hereby authorized to collect the taxes for the City of Concord, including paving assessments, privilege license taxe's and such other taxes and assessments as the City is authorized to levy and impose, mail its notices and take such other action as the City of Concord Tax Collector is authorized and empowered to take pursmant to law, For this service for the fiscal year July 1, 1972 through June 30, 1973, Cabarrus County shall charge the City of Concord two and one-half percent (2-1/2%) of the City taxes and assessments collected during said period, The Chairman of the Board is authorized to execute any contract with the City of Concord to consummate this action.
