The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina met <br /> <br />in called session at the Courthouse in Concord on August 10, 1972 at 4~00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman-. S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. HcClary <br /> Charles Gallimore <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Mr. John Hugh Williams, representing the Cabarrus County Bar Committee <br /> <br />stated~that the Cannon Foundation would like to offer $500,000.00 to be used as <br /> <br />additional funds for the construction of the new courthouse'. <br /> <br /> Nammett made motion to accept the offer of $500,000.00 by the Cannon <br /> <br />Foundation. NcClary seconded the motion and vote carried. Chairman Nawfield <br />was asked to contact Architect George Griffin and inform him of the additional <br />money and ask him to revise the plans accordingly. <br /> <br /> Having no luther business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk ~o Board <br /> <br /> <br />
