The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special session at <br /> <br />the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina, on Friday, May 11, 1973, at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> Commissioners: C. Frank James <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Chairman Hawfield discussed the bids that had been accepted for Landfill Equipment <br /> <br />at the regular meeting on May 7, 1973. Commissioner Hammett made motion to accept the <br />bid submitted by E. F. Craven Company in the amount of $103,046.00. Delivery to be made <br />in mid July 1973 on the Compactor. For details of the bid proposal, refer to the minutes <br />of the regular meeting on May 7, 1973. <br /> <br /> Chairman Hawfteld suggested that due to the fact that Commissioners McClary and <br /> <br />Gallimore were absent, that action on departmental budgets should be deferred until <br /> <br />all of the commissioners could be present. <br /> <br /> Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> William R.
