PETITION FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE <br /> BOUNDARIES OF THE KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> We, Donald E. Wagstaff, Sr. and wife, Pearl W. Wagstaff, owners <br />of all the lands described hereinbelow, respectfully petition that all <br />necessary action required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General <br />Statutes of North Carolina for the extension of the boundaries of the <br />Kannapolis Sanitary District in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties be taken <br />so as to annex said lands and include the same within the boundaries <br />of said Kannapolis Sanitary District under the authority of said <br />Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this petition is the annexation of the lands or <br />territory described below to said Kannapolis Sanitary District so that <br />said district will include said territory within its boundaries and so <br />that water and sewerage facilities and other utilities and services <br />which said district is authorized to provide may be provided in said <br />territory for the preservation and promotion of the public health and <br />sanitary welfare therein. <br /> <br /> It is understood and agreed that the petitioners will make <br />installation of the necessary water lines and sewer lines in the <br />territory hereinafter described in accordance with the rules and <br />provisions of the district for construction of water and sewer lines <br />in new developments. <br /> <br /> The boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed to and <br />included in the Kannapolis Sanitary District are as follows: <br /> <br /> Lying on the West side of Irish Buffalo Creek and on the North <br />side of Pine Street, being ~djacent to the boundaries of the Kannapolis <br />Sanitary District, and being more fully described as follows: <br /> <br /> BEGINNING at a point in the boundary line of the Kannapolis <br />Sanitary District in the center of Irish Buffalo Creek, said beginning <br />point being the Southeastern corner of Lot No. 264 as shown on the <br />map of the E. R. G. Plaster Subdivision, said beginning point lying <br />just North of the Pine Street bridge crossing Irish Buffalo Creek, <br />and runs thence along the center line of Irish Buffalo Creek and the <br />boundary line of the Kannapolis Sanitary District as it meanders in <br />a Northeastern direction for a distance of 2,010 feet to a point in <br />the center of said creek; thence North 87-30 West 1,353 feet to an <br />iron stake in the line of the subdivision of Private Acres and rear <br />corner of Lots Nos. 70 and 71; thence with the rear line of Lots Nos. <br />71 and 72, South 6-20 West 228.5 feet to an iron stake in the Northern <br />right-of-way of Greenwood Avenue and rear corner of Lot No. 72; thence <br />with said right-of-way and Southern edge of Lot No. 72, North 72-30 <br />West approximately 135 feet to an iron stake in the Southern line of <br />Lot No. 72 and the Northern right-of-way line of Greenwood Avenue <br /> (as shown on the map of the subdivision of Private Acres); thence <br />South 17-30 West 257.29 feet to an iron stake in the line of the E. R. G. <br />Plaster Subdivision and the rear corner of Lot No. 79 of Private Acres; <br />thence South 75-00 East 706.12 feet to an iron stake in the Northwest <br />corner of Lot No. 264 that corners with Lot No. 221 of the E. R. G. <br />Plaster Subdivision, sometimes called Little' Acres; thence with the <br />Western line of Lot No. 264 and the Eastern end of Lot No. 221 through <br />263 and continuing on through an unnamed lot to the Northern edge of <br />Pine Street (formerly Fordsville Road), South 2-20 West 1,215 feet to <br />a stake in the Northern edge of Pine Street; thence with the Northern <br />edge of Pine Street for approximately 60 feet, more or less, and thence <br />with the Southern line of Lot No. 264 and with Goodnight for approximately <br />35 feet to a stake in the center of I~ish Buffalo Creek, the point of <br />Beginning. <br /> <br /> RespeStfully submitted, <br /> <br /> .,,' /::>' '? / ~ ...... <br /> <br /> <br />
