The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special session <br /> <br /> at the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Tuesday, April 23, 1974, at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> Charles Gallimore <br /> C. Frank James <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> The Board asked Attorney Boger to check into the availability of national <br /> <br />flood insurance for Cabarrus County residents and report at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> Hammett made motion to approve both the actual land site lease and the <br /> <br />parking lot lease for the new Mental Health Complex. Motion seconded by McClary <br /> <br />and vote carried unanimously, <br /> <br /> Motion by James, seconded by McClary and carried, to accept the communications <br /> <br />equipment as installed for the ambulance service. <br /> <br /> Gallimore made motion to approve Gary Wilson's request for permission to attend <br /> <br />a course pertaining to Planning Methods and Techniques. Motion seconded by Hammett <br /> <br />and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Gallimore made motion to transfer additional money to the school fund to pay <br /> <br />for the increased cost of the water lines to the new elementary school construction <br /> <br />site.
