The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special session <br /> <br />at the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina, on Wednesday, June 12, 1974, at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> Charles Gallimore <br /> C. Frank James <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Commissioner Gallimore made motion that we concur with the request from the <br /> <br />Council on Aging that the Department of Social Services be named recipient for a <br /> <br />Title III grant for the Aged amounting to approximately $25,000.00 with local matching <br />funds of approximately $2,500.00 up to a maximum of $3,000.00. Motion seconded by <br />Commissioner Hammett and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Frances Long, Director of Social Services, presented the departments budget <br /> <br />request. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion to name Gary Wilson as County Planning <br /> <br />Director based on the recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission. Motion <br /> <br />seconded by Commissioner Hammett and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Having no futher business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
