The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special session <br /> <br />at the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Friday, June 28, 1974, at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> Charles Gallimore <br /> C. Frank James <br /> <br /> Absent - Commissioner: John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Upon motion of Commissioner McClary, seconded by Commissioner James, the <br />following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> "BE IT RESOLVED, under the authority of G. S. 159-15, that the Cabarrus <br /> <br />County Budget Ordinance for the fiscal year July 1, 1973-June 30, 1974, is amended by <br />adding the following: 'William R. Wade, Budget Officer, is hereby authorized to <br />transfer one appropriation to another within the same fund; provided that any <br />tranBfers are reported to the Board at the August meeting thereof'" <br /> <br /> Commissioner Gallimore made motion to approve the contract with Mass Property <br />Appraisal, Inc. for the rights to the "Howze-A-Matic Appraisal System." <br />Commissioner James seconded the motion and vote unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> William R. Wade, Budget Officer, presented the tentative budget which <br /> <br />presented Cabarrus County as a single tax unit. Commissioner McClary made motion <br />to adopt the tentative budget with the following admendments: (1.) $5,000.00 be <br />appropriated to Community Relations Commission for a field coordinator with <br />revenue from licenses and fees and (2.) To include federal and state monies to <br />the Department of Social Services. Motion seconded by Commissioner Gallimore and <br />vote carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Having no futher business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Cler~ to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
