The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special session at <br /> <br />the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Friday, April 11, 1975, at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Marcelle Milloway <br /> Roger G. Hinson <br /> <br /> Absent - Commissioners: Robert A. McClary John A. Hammett <br /> <br /> Charles Bost, Executive Director of Cabarrus County CommUnity Relations Commission, <br /> <br />Reverend Koehneke and Reverend Jon Fogleman, appeared before the Board and presented a <br />application in the amount of $500,000.00 for submission within the provisions of the <br />Community Development Act. Motion by Commissioner Hinson, seconded by Commissioner <br />Milloway, to approve the application for possible Federal Grant Funds. Vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion to grant permission for the architect to advertise <br /> <br />for bids on the new Cabarrus County Public Health Center as requested by Chairman Hawfield. <br /> <br />Motion seconded by Commissioner Hinson and vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Jack Alston, County Planner, advised the Board of the current status of the proposed <br /> <br />County Zoning Ordinance and Minimum Lot Size Ordinance. <br /> <br /> Chairman Hawfield advised the Board concerning the current status of the County <br /> <br />Haste Hater System. To date, the City of Concord has awarded contracts on the new Haste <br /> <br />Hater System to Charles F. Smith of Hinter Park, Florida, in the amount of $2,519,000.00. <br /> <br /> Having no luther business, meetSng adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
