Upon the recommendation of the construction committee, Commissioner Hammett made a motion <br /> <br /> * that J. N. Pease Associates furnish the interior design for the Piedmont Mental Health Complex. <br /> <br /> Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary and vote carried. <br /> <br /> ** A representative for Cabarrus County Teachers asked that In-Service Training, a part of <br /> <br />*** the schools' budget, not be cut. She explained that it was a new item but felt it was badly <br /> <br /> needed. The Board took the matter under consideration. <br /> <br /> Thomas Allison and Charles Bost asked that the Board consider the Commmnity Relations <br /> <br /> Commission's Budget requests. <br /> <br /> The Board discussed the Social Services Budget requests with Frances Long, Emanuel Stowe <br /> <br /> and Mildred Morgan. <br /> <br /> Various other departmental budget requests were discussed. <br /> <br />**** Having no further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> Cle~ 'to the Board <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special session at the <br /> Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Friday, June 27, 1975 at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> Marcelle Milloway <br /> Roger G. Hinson <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made a motion that the interim appropriations for the purpose of <br /> paying salaries, debt service payments and the usual ordinary expenses of Cabarrus County <br /> for the month of July as recommended in the budget presented by the County Administrator, <br /> are hereby made pending the public hearing and adoption on July 7, 1975. Motion seconded <br /> by Commissioner Hammett and vote unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> By motion of Commissioner Hinson, seconded by Commissioner McClary, the following <br /> resolution was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners of Cabarrus County hereby adopts the County <br /> Manager plan for the administration of Cabarrus County pursuant to the <br /> prQvis~Ons ~f N~rth Carolina G. S. 153A-81, effective July 1, 1975; and <br /> William R.
