The Board of Commissioners for ~he County of Cabarrus met in regular session at <br /> <br />the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Thursday, August 7, 1975 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. <br /> <br /> Commissioners: Robert A. McClary <br /> John A. Hammett <br /> Marcelle Milloway <br /> Roger G. Hinson <br /> <br /> The invocation was by the Reverend Fred Harmon of Bayless Memorial Presbyterian Church. <br /> The minutes of the July 7 and July 10, 1975 meetings were corrected and approved. <br /> <br /> Walter Burr, Fire Marshall, discussed the proposed boundary line changes in the Winecoff, <br />Mt. Pleasant and Northeast Fire Departments. Commissioner Hammett made motion to approve the <br />revised boundary lines for the three fire districts as presented. Motion seconded by <br />Co~missioner Hinson and vote unanimously carried. <br /> <br /> Winecoff Fire District <br /> <br /> Beginning at point (1) at the intersection of Greenview Drive (1827) and <br /> US 29A; thence in an easterly direction to point (2) at the intersection of South <br /> Ridge Avenue (2001) and Coley Street; including property on Greenview Drive (1827) <br /> and Coley Street;°thence easterly to point (3) at Three Mile Branch; thence south- <br /> easterly along Three Mile Branch to point (4) at US 29-601 North; thence southeast- <br /> erly to point (5) at the intersection of Lake Concord Road (1208) and 1-85; thence <br /> southewesterly along 1-85 to point (6) at Three Mile Branch; thence southeasterly <br /> along Three Mile Branch to point (7) 500 feet east of dead end of Country Club Road <br /> (2103); thence southwesterly along Country Club Road (2103) to point (8) at US 29- <br /> 601 North; thence southerly along US 29-601 North 500 feet to point (9); thence <br /> southewesterly to point (10) on the Southern Railway track at the Concord City Limits; <br /> thence in a general southerly and westerly direction along the Southern Railway and <br /> Concord City Limits to point (11) 300 feet north of the intersection of Scotia <br /> Avenue (1398) and Barber Street (1467); thence southwesterly to point (12) 200 feet <br /> north of the intersection of North Central Avenue (1395) and Parkway Drive (1401); <br /> thence southwesterly along and 200 feet north of Parkway Drive (1401) to point (13) <br /> at Buffalo Creek; thence northwesterly along Buffalo Creek to point (14) at N.C. 73; <br /> thence westerly along and 500 feet south of N,C. 73 to point (15) at the intersection <br /> with Trinity Church Road (1622); thence northerly along Trinity Church Road (1622) at <br /> point (16) at its intersection with Orphange Road (1778); thence northwesterly along <br /> and 500 feet southwest of Trinity Church Road (1622) to point (17) 0.7 mile north- <br /> westerly of the intersection with Boy Scout Camp Road (1624); thence northeasterly <br /> to point (18) of Boy Scout Camp Road (1624), 0.6 mile northerly of the intersection <br /> with Trinity Church Road (1622); thence northerly to point (19) on Rogers Lake Road <br /> (1766) the. intersection of Isenhour Road .(1625) and Rogers Lake Road (1766); thence <br /> easterly along and 500 feet northeasterly of Rogers Lake Road (1766) to point (20) <br /> the Kannapolis Sanitary District Lines; thence easterly and southerly following <br /> Kannapolis Sanitary District Lines to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> 609 / 1800 ' <br /> ~6~6 1624 <br /> <br /> 1838 ' <br /> ~ ~:J:.POP,] 8,464 <br /> <br /> <br />
