Section 2. That the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus does hereby <br /> <br />approve the annexation of the territory described in the petition unto the Kannapolis <br />Sanitary District and does hereby recommend to the North Carolina Commission for Health <br />Services that it approve the annexation of the territory unto the Kannapolis Sanitary <br />District. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus <br /> <br />is hereby directed to certify a copy of this resolution to the Director, Division for <br /> <br />Health Services, Department of Human Resources, State of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner Hinson, seconded by Commissioner Hammett, <br /> <br />the foregoing resolution was unanimously passed. <br /> <br /> Chairman Hawfield made a motion to re-appoint George Kiser, George Byers and J. B. <br /> <br />Jordan to three year terms beginning January 1 to the Health Board. Motions seconded by <br />Commissioner McClary and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion to adopt the following resolution. Motion seconded <br /> <br />by Commissioner Hinson and vote carried. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CABARRUS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of Cabarrus County, North <br /> <br />Carolina, as follows: <br /> <br /> That owners of personal property required to be listed for taxes in Cabarrus County <br /> <br />of the type generally known as "mobile homes", or "house trailers", and similar vehicular <br />equipment designed for use as living or business quarters are required to display in a <br />prominent visible place on said property such sticker or label as may be furnished them <br />by the Tax Supervisor for the purpose of indicating to inspectors that such property has <br />been listed for taxes. The sticker or label furnished by the Tax Supervisor need not be <br />displayed until after the end of the tax listing period in each calendar year. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion that the sheriff be instructed to grant the request <br /> <br />to remote, by landline, to the Mutual Aid base station made by the Kannapolis Office of <br /> <br />the SBI. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hinson and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hinson made motion that Talbert & Cox, Assoc. proceed with the airport <br /> <br /> study for Cabarrus County. Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion to authorize County Manager to advertise for a <br /> <br />twenty channel tape recorder for the sheriff's department. Motion seconded by Commissioner <br />Hinson and Vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary made motion authorizing the County Manager to submit an order for <br /> <br /> five patrol cars (two for Kannapolis and three for the sheriff's department) under state <br /> contract. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hinson and vote carried. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Milloway made motion, seconded by Commissioner McClary and carried, to <br /> <br /> adopt the following ordinance · <br /> <br /> <br />
