52 The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in regular session at the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Tuesday, July 12, 1977 at 9:30 a. m. Present - Chairman: S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr. Commissioners: Robert A. McClary John A. Hammett Marcelle Milloway Troy R. Cook The invocation was given by the Reverend David Argo of North Kannapolis United Methodist Church. The minutes of June 27, 1977 were corrected to read legis- lators instead of congressmen. Upon motion of Commissioner Hammeqt, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and carried, the minutes of June 9, 16, 21 and the corrected minutes of June 27, 1977 were approved. The Board told Mrs. Jones that if they could raise 75% of the participant cost for paving the streets in Spring Valley, it could possibly be worked out with state to pave the streets. The County Planner is to have the revised sub-division ordinance ready to present at the next meeting. Upon motion of Commissioner Hammett, seconded by Commissioner McClary and carried, Carl A. Measmer was appointed to the Manpower Advisory Council. Commissioner Hammett made motion to appoint Jesse Hennessee to the Council on the Status of Women to replace Phil Smith. Motion seconded by Commissioner Cook and vote carried. Commissioner Hammett made motion to adopt the following building permit fee schedules effective July 1, 1977. Motion seconded by Commissioner McClary and vote unanimously carried.
