142 <br /> <br />part of a cigarette manufacturing plant, and the proposed <br />"pollution control project," constituting pollution control, <br />sewage disposal and solid waste facilities, referred to in <br />Exhibit A, for the cigarette manufacturing plant, for Philip <br />Morris Incorporated, are hereby approved in principle. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately <br />upon its passage. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Hammett moved the passage of the foregoing <br />resolution and Commissioner Cook seconded the motion, and <br />the resolution was passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Commissioners Hawfield, McClary, Hammett, Milloway, <br />and Cook. <br /> <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Not Voting: None. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITIES <br /> <br /> 1. Air pollution control, water pollution control, sewage <br />disposal and solid waste disposal facilities for a proposed <br />cigarette manufacturing plant to be located in Cabarrus County, <br />North Carolina, and meeting the applicable standards for financing <br />under the North Carolina Industrial and Pollution Control <br />Facilities Financing Act and Section 103 of the Internal <br />Revenue Code of 1954, as amended. <br /> <br /> 2. Pollution control, sewage disposal and solid <br />waste disposal facility components such as piping, <br />foundations, electrical wiring and switch gear; <br />outfalls to treatment facilities; power supply, general utilities <br />and supporting systems; instrumentation, sampling and monitoring <br />equipment; all necessary or 'helpful .and functionally related <br />and subordinate to the operation of the foregoing projects <br />and the components therefor. <br /> <br /> 3. Any other facility at the plant which constitutes <br />an air pollution control faCility, a water pollution control <br />facility or a solid waste disposal facility, under the Act. <br /> <br />Chairman Hawfield announced, pursuant to Chapter 159C <br /> <br />of the General Statutes of North Carolina and the regulations <br /> <br />thereunder, that he had been advised that The Cabarrus County <br /> <br />Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority <br /> <br />intended to file an application with the Secretary of the De- <br /> <br />partment of Commerce for approval of an industrial and manu- <br /> <br />facturing project in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, consisting <br /> <br />of the acquisition of an 80,000 square foot building and the <br /> <br />17 acre site thereof, improvements thereto and equipment for <br /> <br /> <br />
