264 <br /> <br /> A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, <br />North Carolina, was held at the County Courthouse in Concord, the regular place <br />of meeting, at 4:00 P.M., on October 26, 1978. <br /> <br /> Present: Chairman S. Glenn Hawfield, Jr., presiding, and Commissioners <br />Robert A. McClary and John Hammett. <br /> <br /> Absent: Troy R. Cook and Marcelle Milloway. <br /> <br /> Troy R. Cook, who is not present has signed the following acknowledgment <br /> <br />of service of notice of meeting: <br /> <br /> I hereby acknowledge due service of notice of a special meeting of the <br /> <br />Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus to be held at 4:00 o'clock <br />P.M. on October 26, 1978 at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina <br />for the purpose of considering a resolution providing for the issuance of $455,000 <br />Public Building Bonds of said County, but I will not be able to be present. <br /> <br /> /s/ Troy R. Cook <br /> <br /> Marcelle Milloway, who is not present has signed the following acknowledgment <br />of service of notice of meeting: <br /> <br /> I hereby acknowledge due service of notice of a special meeting of the <br /> <br />Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus to be held at 4:00 P.M. on <br />on October 26, 1978 at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina for the <br />purpose of considering a resolution providing for the issuance of $455,000 Public <br />Building Bonds of said County, but I will not be able to be present. <br /> <br /> /s/ Marcelle Milloway <br /> <br /> Commissioner McClary introduced the following resolution which was read: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE <br /> OF $455,000 PUBLIC BUILDING BONDS <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The Board of Commissioners has determined and does hereby find <br /> and declare: <br /> <br /> (a) That an order authorizing not exceeding $340,000 Public Building Bonds <br /> was adopted by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus on April <br /> 7, 1978, which order has taken effect. <br /> <br /> (b) That none of said Public Building Bonds has been issued and that <br /> <br /> there are outstanding $340,000 Public Building Bond Anticipation Notes, dated <br /> June 27, 1978, maturing on November 29, 1978, and bearing interest at the rate <br /> of 4.12% per annum, which notes were issued in anticipation of the receipt of the <br /> proceeds of the sale of a like amount of said bonds. <br /> <br /> <br />
