370 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in regular <br />session at the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Monday, January 14, <br />1980 at 6:00 P.M. <br /> Present: Chairman: Troy R. Cook <br /> Commissioners: Ralph C. Bonds <br /> Marcelle Milloway <br /> James W. Lentz <br /> J. Ray Allen <br /> The invocation was given by the Reverend Thurmond C. Plexico of St. <br />James Lutheran Church. <br /> The minutes of December 27, 1979 were corrected to read as follows: <br /> <br /> The Board decided that the Sewer Authority should consist of two <br />members from the City of Concord, two from Cabarrus County, and one from <br />Cannon Mills to represent industry. <br /> <br /> There being no further corrections, the minutes of December 10, 1979 and <br />December 27, 1979 were approved as corrected. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner. Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the ~oard approved by resolution that the Board of <br />Commissioners will hold regular meetings on the second Monday of each month <br />at~6:00 P.M. beginning in January, 1980 and continuing every other month there- <br />after in March, May, July, September, and November, and at 9:30 A.M. in all <br />other months. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Allen, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mrs. Virgil Taylor to the Regional <br />Employment and Training Advisory Committee of the Centralina Council of <br />Governments. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Bonds~ seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment: <br /> <br />GENERAL FUND <br /> <br />INCREASE REVENUE <br /> <br />01-6-56-34-569 <br /> <br />Community Based Alternate Revenue <br /> <br />$56,620.75 <br /> <br />INCREASE EXPENSE <br /> <br />01-9-56-30-474 <br /> <br />Community Based Alternate Program <br /> <br />$56,620.75 <br /> <br />This grant provides for the development of an emergency home for youths. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Lentz <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to amend the budget of Social Services <br />to accept an additional $18,808.00 in State funds for a total of $783,206.00 <br />to be provided by State revenue for In Home Services. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Cook, seconded by Commissioner Allen and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mr. Everette Calloway of the Cabarrus <br />County Health Department to the Hazardous/Hard to Handle Wastes Study Committee <br />with the Centralina Council of Governments. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Milloway, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mr. Troy Cook to the Refuse Derived <br />Fuel Study Task Force with the Centralina Council of Governments. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mrs. Donna Udovich and Miss Naomi <br />Tillman to the Cabarrus County Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for a <br />three-year term as recommended by the Administrators of the Nursing Homes in <br />the County. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Allen, seconded by Commissioner Milloway <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed the following persons to the <br />Cabarrus County Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for a three-year <br />term ending December 31, 1982. <br /> <br />Mrs. Marilyn Carroll <br />Mr. F. Drummond <br />Mrs. Wilma Lindsay <br />Mrs. Sylvia Smith <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Mrs. Imeldia Eller and Mr. James <br />Rutledge to the Cabarrus County Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control <br />Financing Authority for a six-year term. <br /> <br /> <br />
