374 <br /> <br /> Mr. McGinnis reported that he had contacted Mr. William R. Greene of <br />Route 2, Albemarle, North Carolina, to learn if he would be interested in <br />selling a tract of land located at the County landfill site to Cabarrus <br />County. Mr. Greene is to inform Mr. McGinnis of his decision regarding <br />the sale of the approximately 25 acres of land. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Bonds, seconded by Chairman Cook and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to recommend to the Department of <br />Transportation that the State move the 45 miles per hour speed zone sign <br />on Pitts School Road three-tenths of a mile to take in Pitts Volunteer <br />Fire Department and Pitts Church. <br /> The Board discussed the large volume of refuse falling from trucks along <br />the roadways leading to the County landfill area. Chairman Cook instructed <br />Mr. McGinnis to determine if there is any type of ordinance restriction <br />or policing policy by the city or county that would alleviate this problem. <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
