379 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in special <br />session at the Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Monday, February 18, <br />1980 at 3:30 P.M. <br /> -Present - Chairman: Troy R. Cook <br /> Commissioners: Ralph C. Bonds <br /> Marcelle Milloway <br /> James W. Lentz <br /> J. Ray Allen <br /> Chairman Cook called the meeting to order and stated the purpose of the <br />meeting was to discuss the acquisition of land. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session to <br />discuss the purchase of t~nd. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner. Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to terminate the Executive Session. <br /> Chairman Cook stated the Board had authocized Mr. Charles McGinnis, <br />County Manager, to negotiate the acquisition of some land and report his findings <br />to the Board. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board voted to discuss the disposal of a fallen <br />tree on County property. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to give the County Manager authority <br />to grant permission to Mr. Kenneth Ervin to remove the usable wood of one <br />tree which has blown down on County property at the Health Department. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by.
