419 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in adjourned <br />regular session at the Courthouse in Concord at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 11, <br />1980, for further r~view of the 1980-81 budget. <br /> Present - Chairman: Troy R. Cook <br /> Commissioners: Ralph C. Bonds <br /> Marcelle Milloway <br /> James W. Lentz <br /> J. Ray Allen <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the award of the $5,000.00 grant by <br />the North Carolina Arts Council to the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation <br />Department. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Milloway and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Dr. Lynn A. Hughes to another four <br />year term on the Piedmont Area Mental Health Board. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Bonds with <br /> Commissioners Lentz, Bonds, and Allen and Chairman Cook voting for and <br /> Commissioner Milloway voting against, the Board moved to recommend to the Cabarrus <br /> County Board of Education a ten (10) percent supplement increase for school per- <br /> sonnel with the smallest dollar increase to be not less than $25.00 and the <br /> largest increase not to exceed $100.00. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Bonds seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board agreed that a ten (10) percent pay increase <br /> be grmnted to all Cabarrus County employees in the 1980-81 budget. <br /> The meeting adjourned until Wednesday, June 18, 1980, for a 7:00 P.M. public <br /> hearing on the proposed Cabarrus County budget. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
