616 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in called <br />session at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina, on Wednesday, <br />November 11, 1981, at 7:00 P.M. for the purpose of reviewing applications <br />for Tax Collector. <br /> Present - Chairman: Ralph C. Bonds <br /> Commissioners: J. Harold Nash <br /> Troy R. Cook <br /> James W. Lentz <br /> Kenneth F. Payne <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Bonds, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br />unanimously carried, the Board agreed to discuss a Senior Citizens Advisory <br />Council. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Chairman Bonds and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed the following persons to the <br />Senior Citizens Advisory Council for Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />Willie Mae Roddy <br />Garland Young <br />Bill Covington <br />Minnie Walker <br />Suzie Lambert <br />Margaret Willie <br />Frank Liske <br />Charles Savage <br />Doris Rogers <br /> <br />- 1-year term <br />- 3-year term <br />- 2-year term <br />- 2-year term <br />- 2-year term <br />- 3-year term <br />- 3-year term <br />- 1-year term <br />- 1-year term <br /> <br /> Ail terms of appointment will expire on November 1 of each respective <br />year. <br /> Chairman Bonds appointed Commissioner Harold Nash and Chairman Ralph <br />Bonds as liaison commissioners to the Senior Citizens Advisory Council. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to discuss employee disability insurance <br />for employees. <br /> No action was taken regarding employee disability insurance. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session to discuss <br />a personnel matter. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br />unanimously carried, the Executive Session was terminated. <br /> Chairman Bonds reported that the Board had reviewed applications for <br />Tax Collector and had scheduled the dates of November 23, 1981, and <br />December 1, 1981, at 6:30 P.M. for interview of applicants for the <br />position. The interviews are to be held in the conference room at the <br />Cabarrus County Health Department. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 11:10 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
