130 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met in adjourned <br />budget session at the County Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina, on <br />Thursday, June 10, 1982, at 7:00 P.M. to continue review of the 1982-83 <br />County budget. <br /> Present - Chairman: Ralph C. Bonds <br /> Commissioners: J. Harold Nash <br /> Troy R. Cook <br /> James W. Lentz <br /> Kenneth F. Payne <br /> Mr. Frank McCray appeared before the Board to request four additional <br />personnel for the Kannapolis Police Department. <br /> The Board reviewed the proposed annual budget and discussed possible <br />reductions and budget additions. The Board agreed to increase the Fire <br />Marshal's budget by $1,000.00 as matching funds with the fire departments <br />in the County to purchase $2,000.00 worth of foam for fire fighting <br />operations. No other action was taken by the Board during the budget <br />review. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board agreed to discuss the acquisition of land <br /> during this budget .session. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Lentz and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session to <br /> discuss the acquisition of land. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board moved to terminate the Executive Session. <br /> Chairman Bonds stated that the Board had reviewed the acquisition of <br /> land during the Executive Session and had taken no action. <br /> There being no additional business to come before the Board, the <br /> meeting was adjourned until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 15, 1982. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
