<br />Section VIII.
<br />
<br /> The County Manager and Finance Director are hereby authorized to transfer
<br />appropriations within a fund as contained herein under the following conditions:
<br />
<br />He may transfer amounts between objects of expenditures within a department
<br />without limitation and without a report being requested.
<br />

<br />He may transfer amounts up to $4,000 between departments of the same fund
<br />with an official report of such transfers at the next regular meeting of
<br />the Board of Commissioners.
<br />
<br />He may not transfer any amounts between funds nor from any contingency
<br />appropriation within any fund without action of the Board of Commissioners.
<br />
<br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Nash and seconded by Commissioner Lentz
<br />to adopt the proposed policy pertaining to the procedures for appointments
<br />to boards, committees and commissions as found in the agenda. The
<br />floor was then opened for discussion regarding changes to this proposed
<br />policy.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Nash and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board agreed to exempt Fire District Commissioners
<br />and Firemen's Relief Fund Trustees from the policy for appointments to
<br />boards, committees and commissions.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Nash and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board amended Section E. Implementation of the
<br />proposed policy for appointments to read as follows.
<br />
<br />3. Persons who have served on boards, commissions and committees
<br />for a period exceeding six consecutive years at the time this
<br />policy becomes effective shall serve until the end of the current
<br />term or for a period of twelve months from the date of this
<br />ordinance if the term extends longer than twelve months.
