Other persons stating opposition to the <br />rezoning request and the possibility of additional mobile homes in their <br />community included Messrs. Cecil Funderburke of Raleigh Street, Howard <br />Gaskey of Raleigh Street, Charles Surner of Raleigh Street, Richard Harris <br />or 346 Rock Hill Church Road, Wade Young of Montford Avenue, Ronald Burke <br />of 458 Urban Drive, William Adam of Winston Drive, and Kent Hall of Raleigh <br />Street. <br /> Mr. Ray Porter of Poplar Tent Road requested that his property be <br />rezoned from R-15 to R-30 to allow his son to place a mobile home on his <br /> land'uPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Payne with <br /> Commissioners Nash, Payne, and Cook voting for and Chairman Bonds voting <br /> against, the Board moved that the request for rezoning be denied. <br /> <br /> (6) Staff - Old Charlotte Road and Roberta Road parcels with following <br /> PIN Numbers: 5529(06)-48-8977, -48'~9045,~ -48,0158, -48-8286, -38-7342, <br /> -38-8320 from R-8 to C-1. 5529(10)-37-9060, ,37'0016~ -37-1282, -37-3311, <br /> -37-3385, -47-3476, and 5529(06)-38'7655, ,38-5643, -38-5679, -38-6707, <br /> -38-7774, and -38-8825 from R-8 to C-3. (Petition number 82-08 - Staff) <br /> Mr. Eddie Kennedy requested that this rezoning be approved to allow <br /> him to use property in that area for business purposes. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Cook, seconded by Commissioner Nash and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board approved the zoning change as requested. <br /> <br />ZONING TEXT AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />Addition to non-conforming Single-Family structures in C-i, C-2, <br />C-3, C-4, C-5, I-l, and I-2 zones when Single-Family residential <br />structures are not permitted but now exist by virtue of non- <br />conforming in use. The structure may be enlarged providing <br />that the Development Standards Section 3.3 and other standards of <br />the ordinance are adhered to. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Cook <br />and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the zoning text amendment <br />as presented. <br /> <br /> Mr. F. E. Isenhour, Zoning Administrator, stated the need for <br />allowing single family residences to be constructed in every zone. No <br />action was taken by the Board on this matter. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Nash, seconded by Commissioner Payne <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:25 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
