66 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the public hearing has now been held and any objections made <br />concerning the financial assistance were considered; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />THE COUNTY OF CABARRUS: <br /> <br /> 1. That the street or streets, road or roads, or rights of way <br />herein set out are without paving, and public interest requires that <br />asphalt paving be made available, and that abutting property will be <br />benefitted to the extent of the part of the cost thereof to be assessed <br />against such abutting property. <br /> <br /> 2. If the local improvements are ordered made by the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation, the County of Cabarrus shall remit to the <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation the proportion of the cost <br />thereof representing the total local share as required by policies of the <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation's Secondary Road Council. <br /> <br /> 3. That the local improvements to be made on the street or streets, <br />road or roads, or right of way, set out above are as follows: <br /> <br />ASPHALT PAVING <br /> <br />SECONDARY ROAD NUMBER STREET OR ROAD <br /> <br />1762 Lineal Feet <br /> <br />SR 1876 <br /> <br />Sheridan Drive <br /> <br /> 4. Lentz <br /> <br />CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhardt, seconded by Commissioner Nash <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution con- <br />firming the assessment roll for local improvements on Sheridan Drive <br />(SR 1876). <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT ROLL <br /> FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the 15th day of October, 1984, the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution giving notice of intention <br />to assist in the financing of improvements to rural subdivision and <br />residential streets on the following road(s): <br /> <br />SR 1876 Sheridan Drive <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the required seventy-five percent (75%) of the affected <br />property owners do request to have the road paved under the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation Participation Paving Plan and have <br />submitted a cashiers check made payable to North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation, the listed property owners are to be assessed as follows: <br /> <br />MAP # BLK # PARCEL # PROPERTY OWNER(S) <br /> <br />FOOTAGE AMOUNT DUE <br /> <br />4683(01) 45 3870 Billy R.
