<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner Upright
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board awarded the contract for lighting fixtures
<br />and lamps to Mill-Power Supply in the total amount of $19,714.04 with the
<br />base bid of $17,635.16 and Alternate II of $2,078.88 as recommended by
<br />Mr. Steve Little, Recreation Director. The low bidder, Monroe Contractors
<br />Supply, did not submit the required bid bond for that bid to be considered.
<br /> Mr. Steve Little, Recreation Director, reviewed the bids received
<br />for the athletic field lighting poles for the Bethel Sports Field,
<br />Harrisburg Baseball Field, Northwest Cabarrus High Baseball Field, and
<br />Frank Liske Park. He requested that the bid be awarded to North
<br />Pacific Lumber Company for the base bid and Alternate II (Northwest
<br />Cabarrus High Field Poles) in the total amount of $10,587.40. The bids
<br />were as follows.

<br />contract to the overall low bidder, North Pacific Lumber Company, in the
<br />total amount of $10,587.40 with the base bid of $4,787.40 'and Alternate II
<br />in the amount of $5,800.00.
<br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved a Parks and Recreation budget
<br />amendment for the Incentive Grant Project, Northwest Cabarrus High
<br />School, expenditure account 81-10-831 and revenue account 81-48-005,
<br />in the amount of $5,800.00. Cabarrus County Board of Education is
<br />remitting to the County the cost of lighting poles in the amount of
<br />$5,800.00 for this project.
