Chairman Lentz <br />directed that steps be taken for the Board to consider at the next meeting <br />a change in the existing ordinance in regards to the double fee schedule <br />for the Building Inspection Department. <br /> The Board received the letter from the Garden International Circus <br />regarding the possible appearance of that circus in Cabarrus County and <br />requesting information regarding permits and/or licences required <br />for this event. Under provisions of the existing Privilege Licence Schedule <br />for the County, approval must be given by the Board of Commissioners before <br />the Tax Collector can issue the privilege license. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Upright <br />and unanimously carried, the Board directed that the Cabarrus County <br />Privilege License Fee Schedule be sent to Garden International Circus <br />with the request that if they do intend to come to Cabarrus County that <br />they send information to the County regarding insurance, dates, and <br />possible locations for the circus. The Board will again consider the <br />request for approval of the circus upon receipt of this information. <br /> Ms. Kathy Pilkington, Coordinator for the Cabarrus Senior Games, <br />presented information relating to the Senior Games which will be held <br />May 15, 16, and 17, 1985, in Cabarrus County. <br /> Chairman Lentz reported that he had received a letter of resignation <br />from Ms. Minnie Walker as a member of the Senior Citizens Advisory Council. <br />He stated that Ms. Walker is moving out of the county and will no longer be <br />available to serve on the council. Chairman Lentz requested the County <br />Manager to contact the Advisory Council regarding a recommendation for <br />appointment to fill this vacancy. This is to be considered by the Board <br />at the next meeting. <br /> Mr. Fletcher L. Hartsell, Jr., County Attorney, presented a proposed <br />lease between Cabarrus County and the Cabarrus County Fair Association for <br />the use by the Fair of the County-owned property adjacent to the fairgrounds <br />property.
