262 Station 12+45.81, Survey Line L, to the point of intersection with the eastern property line of the undersigned, common property line with Widenhouse Service, Inc., now or formerly; thence along the eastern property line of the undersigned in a southerly direction to the point of BEGINNING. The property hereinabove described was acquired by the GRANTORS by instrument(s) recorded in the Cabarrus County Registry in Book 102, pare 52. The.final right of way plans showing the above-described right of way are to be certified and recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds for said County pursuant to N.C.G.S. 136-19.4, reference to which plans is hereby made for purposes of further description. This deed is subject to the following provisions only: TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the aforesaid right of way and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the DEPARTMENT IN FEE SIMPLE. The GRANTORS by the execution of this instrument, acknowledge that the plans for the aforesaid project as they affect their property have been fully explained to them or their authorized representative. And the GRANTORS covenant with the DEPARTMENT, that the GRANTORS are seized of the premises in fee simple, have the right to convey the same in fee simple, that the title thereto is marketable and free and clear of all encumbrances, and that the GRANTORS will warrant and defend the title against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever except for the exceptions hereinafter stated. Robinson, Planning Director, requested the Board's support for House Bill 411 and House Bill 1165 which would increase State funding for Land Records Management Programs. He stated that Cabarrus County would be eligible to receive grant money to fund the development of orthophotography if these bills become law. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Upright, seconded by Commissioner Barnhardt and unanimously carried, the Board authorized Chairman Lentz to sign a letter in support of House Bill 411 and House Bill 1165 to be forwarded to the local legislators. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhardt, seconded by Chairman Lentz and unanimously carried, the Board granted the Director of Social Services signatory authority for entering into those contracts for services by the Department of Social Services with various providers. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Upright, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Chairman Lentz as the official voting delegate for Cabarrus County at the National Association of Counties Annual Conference to be held in Orlando, Florida on July 13-17, 1985. The Board reviewed a letter from The Honorable Coy C. Privette, State Representative, asking for input from the Board regarding House Bill 1234, An Act to Establish a North Carolina Corrections Facility Finance Authority. According to Representative Privette's letter, this bill currently being considered by the House Corrections Committee would provide funds for the construction and renovation of county jail facilities.
