420

This budget revision reflects an increase necessary to weatherize 14
homes by June 30, 1986, or approximately 20 percent of the $100,000.00
anticipated revenue for the 12 months beginning April 1, 1986.

UPON MOTION of Commissioner Upright, seconded by Commissioner Payne
and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Library budget
amendment.

LIBRARY
ACCOUNT #19-30

Present
Line Item Approved
Acct. The Concord Board of
Aldermen voted to transfer this amount to Cabarrus County to be added to
the Library operating budget. This amount will be used for the purchase
of library materials (books, etc.).

Commissioner Barnhardt questioned the possibility of a more equal
distribution of State funds between the Concord and Kannapolis libraries
in the future.
Mr. Walter C. Odell, III, County Engineer, reviewed the proposed
agreement for the extension of sanitary sewers by a developer. He
pointed out there would be no County expenditures for this project.
UPON MOTION of Commissioner Payne, seconded by Commissioner
Barnhardt and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chairman to
sign the following agreement between Cabarrus County and Bostwood
Estates Partnership.

SEWER CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
CONSTRUCTION BY APPLICANT

STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
CABARRUS COUNTY

BOSTWOOD ESTATES PARTNERSHIP

APPLICANT

THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this the 7 day of April, 1986,
between Bostwood Estates Partnership, whose address is 649 Flowes Store
Road, Cabarrus County, a municipal corporation of said County and State,
hereinafter referred to as the "County":

WITNESSETH

THAT WHEREAS, the Applicant desires to construct sanitary sewer
lines to serve certain properties located in Cabarrus County, and such
sanitary sewer lines to be constructed at the Applicant's own proper
cost and expense; and,

WHEREAS, the Applicant has requested permission from the County to
connect these certain sanitary sewer lines to the County's sanitary
sewerage system, said sanitary sewer lines and location of connection to
the County's system being more particularly described as follows:
