538 <br /> <br /> Chairman Lentz reported that he had received a letter from the Board of <br />Directors of the Odell Volunteer Fire Department opposing the location of a <br />satellite station of the Pitts Volunteer Fire Department at the corner of <br />Odell School Road and Poplar Tent Road. He further reported that the proposed <br />satellite station was no longer being considered as Vulcan Materials Company <br />had indicated that they do not intend to give the land at this time for the <br />satellite fire station. <br /> Commissioner Hamby reported that as the Commissioner member on the <br />Piedmont Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Authority <br />he had reappointed Reverend Robert Sessum and Ms. Martha Macon to another <br />four-year term as members of the Authority. He stated that he would appoint a <br />new member to fill the position currently held by Ms. Laurabel Arey at a later <br />date. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />adjourned at 5:10 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
