In the 1987-88 fiscal year, we <br />would then budget the remaining $600,000 and still maintain our current <br />budgeting requirements. <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, presented the contract between <br />Cabarrus County and the Piedmont Farmer's Market, Inc., regarding the dis- <br />bursement of the $35,000.00 allocated by the General Assembly to the Piedmont <br />Farmer's Market. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Moss and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chairman to sign the following <br />contract between Cabarrus County and Piedmont Farmer's Market, Inc. <br /> <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />CONTRACT <br /> <br /> THIS CONTRACT made and entered into this 29th day of December, 1986 by <br />and between CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA (hereinafter referred to as the <br />"County") and PIEDMONT FARMERS MARKET, INC., a non-profit corporation organized <br />and existing under the laws of the state of North Carolina (hereinafter <br />referred to as the "Corporation") <br /> <br />W I T N E S S E S : <br /> <br /> 1. The State of North Carolina, through its General Assembly, <br />appropriated certain funds for the Corporation which funds it transmitted to <br />the County for distribution to the Corporation on the condition that the <br />County insure that the Corporation expend the funds only for the purchase of <br />land or capital improvements. <br /> <br /> 2. The Corporation has agreed to use the funds appropriated by the <br />General Assembly for the purchase of land. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these premises and the distribution <br />by the County to the Corporation of the funds allocated to it by the General <br />Assembly, to wit the sum of Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($35,000.00) receipt <br />of which is hereby acknowledged, the Corporation agrees to spend these funds <br /> <br /> <br />
