26 <br /> <br /> It was noted that Chairman Lentz, Commissioner Melvin, and the County <br />Manager would be attending the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners <br />Legislative Goals Conference in Fayetteville on January 14-15, 1987. <br /> Mr. Charles D. McGinnis, County Manager, reminded the Board that the North <br />Carolina Airports Conference will be held in Pinehurst, North Carolina, on <br />February 2 - 4, 1987. <br /> Chairman Lentz reminded the Board that the Environmental Assessment Public <br />Hearing regarding the proposed Cabarrus County Airport will be held on Monday, <br />January 12, 1987, at the National Guard Armory. Mr. William Garrett, North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation Hearing Officer, will conduct the public <br />hearing. <br /> Chairman Lentz recessed the meeting of the Board of Commissioners at 11:38 <br />A.M. until the conclusion of the meeting of the Water and Sewer District <br />Commissioners. <br /> Chairman Lentz reconvened the meeting at 11:45 A.M. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Payne and unani- <br />mously carried, the Board moved to go into Executive Session to discuss pending <br />litigation. Mr. Samuel F. Davis, Jr., attorney, joined the Board for the <br />Executive Session. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and unani- <br />mously carried, the Executive Session was terminated. <br /> Chairman Lentz stated that the Board had been in Executive Session dis- <br />cussing pending litigation with the County Attorney and Mr. Samuel F. Davis, <br />Jr., who is representing the County in this matter. He stated that no decision <br />was made. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />adjourned at 1:05 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
