149 <br /> <br />a. He may transfer amounts between objects of expenditures within a <br /> department without limitation and without a report being requested. <br /> <br />b. He may transfer amounts up to $5,000 between departments of the same fund. <br /> <br />c. He may not transfer any amounts between funds nor from any contingency <br /> appropriation within any fund without action of the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />d. Expenses for operations of the Sanitary Landfill in excess of those <br /> generated by the tipping fees shall be derived solely from the proceeds of <br /> the county portion of the sales tax. <br /> <br />e. The special appropriations shall be distributed contingent upon execution <br /> by the provider of a statutory permissible contract for services. <br /> <br /> Chairman Lentz stated that the revenue from the two cents (2¢) increase <br />in property tax was earmarked for the retirement of bond debt for the Coddle <br />Creek Water Impoundment. <br /> The Board recessed the meeting until the conclusion of the meeting of the <br />Board of Commissioners for the Water and Sewer District of Cabarrus County. <br /> Chairman Lentz reconvened the meeting of the Board of Commissioners. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin with <br /> Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Melvin and Moss voting for and Commissioners <br /> Payne and Hamby voting against, the Board increased the commissioners' salary <br /> by five percent for 1987-88. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 9:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
