413 <br /> <br /> Mr. Coy Honeycutt, owner of K & C Salvage and Ritchie Salvage, spoke <br />against the 10-foot fence requirement for screening of salvage yards. Mr. <br />Bill Powlas, owner of Bill's Junk Car Service, also spoke against the 10-foot <br />fence requirement. No one else spoke in regards to the proposed amendment, <br />and the public hearing for Zoning Text Petition 88-07 was closed. <br /> The motion by Commissioner Payne to approve Petition 88-07 as recommended <br />failed for lack of second. <br /> The motion by Commissioner Melvin to approve the wording of Petition <br />88-07 as recommended with the exception that the 10-foot fence requirement be <br />replaced with a 6-foot fence requirement failed for lack of a second. <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Moss, seconded by Commissioner Hamby and <br />unanimously carried, the Board tabled Petition 88-07 until the meeting on July <br />18, lg88. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Petition 88-08. The Land Development Guide - 1988 is on <br />file in the Office of the County Manager and is included by reference as a <br />part of the minutes. <br /> <br /> <br />
