75 <br /> <br />Training and Technical Assistance <br />Training: Administrative and Technical $ 200 O0 <br />Consumer Education $ 100 00 <br />Travel $ 1,100 00 <br />Supplies/Equipment $ 100 00 <br /> Subtotal $ 1,500 00 <br /> TOTAL AWARD $29,200 00 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the following Project Agreement between <br />the Urban Institute at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and <br />Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />The University of North Carolina at Charlotte <br />Urban Institute <br /> Project Agreement <br /> <br />This agreement, made and entered into this 3rd day of April, 1989, <br />between the Urban Institute at The University of North Carolina at <br />Charlotte (hereinafter "UNCC"), and The County of Cabarrus, <br />hereinafter known as "Sponsor", witnesseth that: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each party desires to enter into this Agreement for the <br />benefits reasonably expected to be gained therefrom; <br /> <br />The parties hereto mutually agree as follows: <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br />UNCC is hereby engaged by Sponsor to facilitate services for <br />the Transportation Task Force of the Carolina Counties <br />Coalition. As facilitators, UNCC personnel will have the <br />responsibility of Task Force meeting logistics and <br />facilitation of the discussions. Ail decisions about <br />critical issues will be made exclusively by the Task Force. <br />Primary objectives to be accomplished by the Task Force are <br />the following: <br /> <br />o Mission of Transportation Task Force or related <br /> organization entity. <br />o Goals of Task Force or related organizational entity. <br />o Organizational options. <br />o Funding options. <br /> <br />Urban Institute personnel will prepare draft documents as <br />requested by the Task Force, will prepare the Final Report <br />based on the Task Forcers recommendations, and will also <br />gather information about other regional transportation <br />entities, if requested. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Work Schedule <br />It is understood and agreed that UNCC will conduct its work <br />February 15, 1989 through July 31, 1989. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Financial <br />Sponsor agrees to pay to UNCC the sum of $1,000 payable upon <br />approval of contract. <br /> <br />Entire Agreement <br />This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between <br />the parties. No other terms and conditions, be they <br />consistent, inconsistent, or additional to those contained <br />herein, shall be minding upon UNCC, unless and until such <br />terms and conditions shall have been specifically accepted <br />in writing by UNCC. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this agreement <br />to be executed by these duly authorized officers this day and year <br />first above written. <br /> <br /> <br />
