180 <br /> <br /> The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met at the County <br />Courthouse in Concord, North Carolina on Wednesday, August 16, 1989, at 8:25 P.M. <br /> Present - Chairman: James W. Lentz <br /> Commissioners: William G. Hamby, Jr. <br /> Martha H. Melvin <br /> Billy J. Simmons, Jr. <br /> Absent - Commissioner: R. Giles Moss <br /> In the absence of the Clerk, the minutes were recorded by Mr. Michael M. <br />Ruffin, County Manager. <br /> The Board conferred with the Cabarrus County Planning Board about the <br />proposed Sign Ordinance and expressed concerns relative to the proposed <br />regulations. No action was taken. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Melvin with <br />Chairman Lentz and Commissioners Melvin, Hamby, and Simmons voting for, the Board <br />convened in executive session to discuss an industrial location or expansion <br />and personnel. <br /> UPON MOTION of Chairman Lentz, seconded by Commissioner Hamby with Chairman <br />Lentz and Commissioners Hamby, Melvin, and Simmons voting for, the executive <br />session was adjourned. <br /> No report was filed on the executive session. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 10:43 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
