The general fund provided initial funding for this project. She
advised another similar camera project includes security cameras in five
interview rooms at the Sheriff's Administration Facility. The County has
access to SCAAP (State Criminal Alien Assistance Program) funds, which can
pay for the Detention Center project, but not the Sheriff's Administration
camera project. She requested to reallocate general fund monies to cover the
Sheriff's Administration security cameras and allocate SCRAP funds to cover a
portion of the Detention Center security camera project, to allow both
projects to be completed in this fiscal year. Chief Deputy Paul Hunt,
Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office, was also in attendance.
Approval of Regular Meeting Agenda
The Board discussed the placement of items on the Agenda.
UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt
and unanimously carried, the Board approved the January 19, 2016 Agenda as
follows:
Approval or Correction of Minutes
• Approval or Correction of Meeting Minutes
Recognitions and Presentations
• Proclamation - Black History Month
Consent
• ALP - Partnership with Partners for Parks
• DHS - In -Home Aide Services Policy Approval
• Finance - CCS Agency Agreement - New Early College
• Sheriff's Office - Security Camera Projects
• Tax Administration - Refund and Release Report - December 2015
New Business
• Finance - Installment Financing Contract for Constructing and Equipping
Public School Facilities - Public Hearing 6:30 P.M.
Appointments to Boards and Committees
• Appointments
• Appointments
• Appointments
• Appointments
• Appointments
Authority
and Removals
and Removals
- Firemen's R
and Removals
- Industrial
- Active Living and Parks Commission
- Cabarrus County Youth Commission
=_lief Fund Trustees
- Human Services Advisory Board
Facilities and Pollution Control Financing
Reports
• Cabarrus County Tourism Authority - FY15 Year End Financial Report
• County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity
• EDC - December 2015 Monthly Summary Report
• Finance - Monthly Financial Update
• BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as
Liaisons to Municipalities or on Various Boards /Committees
• Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees
Closed Session
The closed session was not needed and was removed from the Agenda.
