The Kannapolis City Schools (KCS) match was also <br />discussed. It was the consensus of the Board to add eight mental health <br />responders into the proposed budget for CCS (480,000.00), including the match <br />for KCS. <br />There was also discussion regarding: the impacts of FLSA regulation <br />changes; fire district requests; and additional discussion regarding the <br />previously discussed KCS match_ <br />In regards to the KCS match for the CCS mental health responder <br />positions, it was the consensus of the Board to fund $45,757.00 for KCS to <br />use towards supplements, with any remainder to be allocated for FY17 one -time <br />funding to help off -set the match next year. <br />Chairman Morris commended staff for their efforts in preparing the <br />budget. <br />Commissioner Shue requested information regarding the upcoming <br />Government 101 class. <br />Kasia Thompson reported that Government 101 will be held Friday, June <br />10th at the Governmental Center. She advised the class theme will be the FY17 <br />budget breakdown and will provide an interactive day with panels, activities <br />and demonstrations to guide participants through the County's fiscal plan for <br />the coming year.
