The County Manager may execute contracts with outside agencies to <br />properly document budgeted appropriations to such agencies where <br />G.S. 153 A- 248(b), 259, 449 and any similar statutes require such <br />contracts. <br />12. The County Manager may reject formal bids when deemed appropriate <br />and in the best interest of Cabarrus County pursuant to G.S. 143- <br />129 (a) . <br />13. Fund Budcxet <br />Pam Dubois, Senior Deputy County Manager, stated the following CIP <br />(Capital Improvement Plan) projects were approved as part of the FY17 General <br />Fund Budget. She advised these projects will be recorded and tracked in the <br />School Construction Project Fund, Construction and Renovation Fund, and the <br />Small Projects Fund. Monies to fund these projects were provided by the Capital <br />Reserve Fund ($11,697,950.00), General Fund ($75,000.00), and Small Projects <br />Fund /Deferred Taxes ($125,000.00).
