December 5, 2016 (Swearing-in Ceremony & Organizational Meeting) Page 2968 The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met for an Organizational Meeting in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental Center in Concord, North Carolina on Monday, December 5, 2016, at 6:06 p.m. Present - Chairman: Stephen M. Morris Commissioners: Diane R. Honeycutt Grace M. Mynatt Elizabeth F. Poole Lynn W. Shue Also present were Mike Downs, County Manager; Richard M. Koch, County Attorney; Pam Dubois, Senior Deputy County Manager; Jonathan Marshall, Deputy County Manager; Kyle Bilafer, Area Manager and Megan Smit, Clerk to the Board. Reception for Elected Officials Prior to the organizational meeting, a ceremony honoring incoming elected officials was held in the rotunda of the Governmental Center at 5:00 p.m. Commissioners Morris and Poole expressed appreciation for support from their families as well as voters. Commissioner Poole also acknowledged the services provided by Executive Chef, Chad Muller, and Cabarrus Arena & Events Center staff. Administration of Oath to Office: Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors The Honorable Christy E. Wilhelm, District Court Judge, administered the following Oath of Office to Ned Hudson: OATH OF OFFICE SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT SUPERVISORS NORTH CAROLINA ) OATH OF OFFICE FOR Ned Hudson CABARRUS SOIL AND WATER CABARRUS COUNTY ) CONSERVATION DISTRICT SUPERVISOR I, Ned Hudson, do solemnly swear that I will support and maintain the Constitution and laws of the United States, and the Constitution and laws of North Carolina not inconsistent therewith, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of my office as Cabarrus Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor, so help me God.
