June 19, 2017 (Regular Meeting) Page 3203 <br /> 2017 in accordance with Article 2, Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of <br /> Electronic Means to Provide Public Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of <br /> Ordinances. <br /> Mr. Downs clarified this public hearing is concerning the allocation for <br /> the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation in the amount of $400, 000.00. He <br /> stated these funds go toward their operating funds in addition to funding the <br /> Corporation receives from the cities in the County as well as several private <br /> companies. <br /> There was no one present to address the Board; therefore, Chairman Morris <br /> closed the public hearing. <br /> No further action was required of the Board. <br /> (G-4) County Manger - Purchase of Overflow Parking Lot Property at Concord <br /> Senior Center <br /> Jonathan Marshall, Deputy County Manager, requested the purchase of the <br /> property located next to the Concord Senior Center. He advised the Concord <br /> Senior Center uses the property daily for an overflow parking lot. He stated <br /> the property owners are offering the property for the December 2014 appraised <br /> price of $64, 000. 00. <br /> Chairman Morris expressed support for the purchase. <br /> UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board approved the purchase of the Concord Senior <br /> Center overflow parking lot property for the amount of $64, 000.00; including <br /> the required budget amendment and authorized the County Manager to execute the <br /> transfer documents subject to review and revision by the County Attorney; <br /> including authorization for the Finance Director to create the related budget <br /> amendments and project ordinances as necessary. <br /> Date: 6/19/2017 Amount: $64,000 <br /> Dept. The project authorized is the various County construction and <br /> renovation related projects. Details of the projects are listed in <br /> section C. of this Project Ordinance. <br /> B. The officers of this unit are hereby directed to proceed with this <br /> capital project within the terms of the Generally Accepted Accounting <br /> Principles (GAAP) and the budget contained herein. <br /> C.
