The school system is submitting a request to have the funds reappropriated to FY18 . UPON MOTION by Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Kannapolis City Schools FY17 reappropriation request in the amount of $470, 509.24 and approved the related budget amendment. Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 20-187 .2, it is requested that Sergeant Sossoman's service weapon (Sig Sauer P226, 40 caliber, serial number 47C011138) be declared surplus and awarded to him for the price of $1.00. UPON MOTION by Commissioner Kiger, seconded by Commissioner Shue and unanimously carried, the Board declared a service weapon (Sig Sauer P226, 40 caliber, serial number 47C011138) as surplus property and awarded it to Sergeant Eric Sossoman for the price of $1.00 upon his retirement. (F-15) Tax Collector - New Tax Collection Services Contracts for Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Locust Midland and Mt. Pleasant The County entered into a contract with the City of Concord to collect all property taxes on behalf of the City. By adding Concord to the process, this enabled the County to reduce the rates charged to all the other municipalities from a percentage of operations cost based on number of bills generated to a flat $2 per bill.
