If reappointed, an exception to the "service on multiple <br /> boards" provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed for her. <br /> UPON MOTION by Chairman Morris, seconded by Commissioner Shue and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Betty Babbs to the Cardinal <br /> Innovations Healthcare Solutions Community Oversight Committee for a three-year <br /> term ending July 31, 2020, including an exception to the "service on multiple <br /> boards" provision of the Appointment Policy. <br /> (H-3) Appointments - Mental Health Advisory Board <br /> An appointment is needed to fill the vacant "Local Attorney" position on <br /> the Mental Health Advisory Board. <br /> UPON MOTION by Chairman Morris, seconded by Vice Chairman Honeycutt and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board appointed Jay White to the Mental Health Advisory <br /> Board for a two-year term ending December 31, 2019. <br /> (H-4) Appointments - Concord Downtown Development Corporation (CDDC) <br /> The Concord Downtown Development Corporation (CDDC) has requested a Board <br /> or staff member to represent the County at their board meetings. <br /> UPON MOTION by Chairman Morris, seconded by Commissioner Kiger and <br /> unanimously carried, the Board appointed Jonathan Marshall to represent the <br /> County on the Concord Downtown Development Corporation Board. <br /> (I) REPORTS <br /> (I-1) County Manager - Monthly New Development Report <br /> The Board received the monthly new development report for informational <br /> purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br /> (I-2) County Manager - Monthly Reports on Building Activity <br /> The Board received the Cabarrus County Construction Standards Dodge Report <br /> for July 2017, and the Cabarrus County Commercial Building Plan Review Summary <br /> for July 2017 for informational purposes as part of the Agenda. No action was <br /> required of the Board. <br /> (I-3) EDC - July 2017 Monthly Summary Report <br /> The Board received the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC) <br /> monthly report for the month of July as part of the Agenda. No action was <br /> required of the Board. <br /> (I-4) Finance - Monthly Financial Update <br /> The Board received the monthly financial update for informational <br /> purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br /> (I-5) Sheriff's Office - Quarterly Report <br /> The Board received the Sheriff' s Office Quarterly Report for informational <br /> purposes. No action was required of the Board. <br /> (I-6) BOC - Receive Updates from Commissioner Members Who Serve as Liaisons <br /> Commissioner Poole provided each commissioner with an updated list for <br /> the Metropolitan Planning Organization Division 10 projects. <br /> Chairman Morris expressed appreciation to the Library for their programs, <br /> most recently the eclipse program. <br /> (I-7) Request for Applications for County Boards/Committees <br /> Applications are being accepted for the following County <br /> Boards/Committees: <br /> • Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee - 6 Vacant Positions <br /> • Centralina Workforce Development Board - 1 Vacant Position <br /> • Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) - 1 Vacant Position <br /> • Home and Community Care Block Grant Committee - 1 Vacant Position <br /> (DHS/Designee/Disabled Adults) <br />
