March 16, 2015 (Regular Meeting) <br />i <br />MAE <br />Page 2325 <br />WERW _, .► <br />*OVAL . <br />,,;: <br />?U WKAJW h <br />SITE PLAN <br />(G -2) Emergency Management - Adoption of Cabarrus-Stanly-Union Regional <br />Hazard Mitigation Plan - Public Hearing 6:30 P.M. <br />Bobby Smith, Emergency Management Director, reported FEMA (Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency) has conditionally approved the Cabarrus Stanly <br />Union Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. He said this plan is required in <br />order to receive both federal and state disaster funding and that the final <br />step in the process is to hold a public hearing, approve the plan and adopt <br />the resolution. <br />Chairman Morris opened the public hearing at 7:38 p.m. The Public <br />Hearing Notice was published on March 4 and 15, 2415 in The Independent <br />Tribune. The Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the County's website <br />( www.cabarruscounty.us ) on March 4, 2015 in accordance with Article 2, <br />Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic Means to Provide Public <br />Notices) of the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances. <br />There was no one present to address the Board; therefore Chairman <br />Morris closed the public hearing. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Honeycutt, seconded by Commissioner Shue <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Cabarrus Stanly Union <br />Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan and adopted the following resolution. <br />Resolution No. 2015 -05 <br />RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE <br />CABARRUS STANLY UNION REGIONAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN <br />Mt.
